| | About Dance Music / Electronica | Syndicated | Doing a dance cover of any Rolling Stones song takes cajones and especially big ones when you choose their edgy 1969 classic "Gimme Shelter." The production is rebellious enough to fit the lyrics - a mix of glitch, noise, electro and 80s synth work. The vocals are reminiscent of singers from the era of industrial dance music (maybe a reference to the Sisters of Mercy version?) Remixes by Caged Baby, Stezza, Kill The Hero, and Streetlife DeeJay ditch most of the vocals but take the track in even edgier directions.
